Sorry, but . . .

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm having a really hard time with all the stuff that is going on this September 11th. It is at least two high schools homecoming dance night. There's like some kind of 5K and a whole bunch of other stuff. I'm not saying the world should shut down on September 11th but to me it feels like we've forgotten. We've forgotten what happened that day. Of course it was terrible and I myself don't even like to remember it. But I still am having a hard time with all this apparent lack of remembrance.
What do you guys think?

  1. People have a amazing capacity to forget. It can be both a good and a bad thing. But I agree with you that 9/11 should be remembered. It was a tragedy that changed our nation and the world.

  2. I know how you feel. I have been feeling the same way. I think we need to remember what happened, and those people who lost their lives/and loved ones. I know I am not going to be doing much tomorrow. I think it is a day that needs to be respected! I lot you!

  3. Today, there were flags at half mass. I also thought about the fact that someday, my children will ask me what 9/11 was like. I think it is important to remember.

  4. I think it is important to remember and I think that we should have a moment of silence across the country for it every year and remember what happened and everything. But I think that everything should still continue in life. I think that the radio stations do a good job honoring the event and so most people hear about it while they are driving.
